About the Role

Our client seeks a talented Remote Automotive Electronics Engineer to drive innovation in vehicle electronic systems from their home office. This role involves the design, development, and validation of electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and related components that are crucial for modern vehicle performance, safety, and efficiency. You will be an integral part of a global, remote-first engineering team, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of automotive technology and contribute to the development of advanced automotive features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for automotive applications, including ECUs, sensors, and actuators.
  • Create schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and perform simulations using industry-standard tools.
  • Develop and execute test plans for hardware validation and performance testing of electronic components.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on emerging electronic technologies and their potential applications in the automotive sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive electronics design and development.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
  • Strong understanding of microcontrollers, embedded systems, and sensor technologies.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools and techniques (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
