Remote Automotive Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Automotive Project Manager to lead critical projects within their innovative product development division. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive technology initiatives from conception to completion. Working entirely remotely, you will manage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the automotive industry and project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of automotive technology projects, managing scope, timelines, and resources.
• Develop detailed project plans, including defining project objectives, deliverables, tasks, and resource requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners through virtual channels.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations, adhering to automotive industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on the automotive sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex automotive projects, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
