About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Automotive Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems . This role is central to developing the next generation of automotive software for complex vehicle systems, including infotainment, driver assistance, and powertrain control. You will be working in a fully remote capacity, collaborating with a global team of engineers to design, develop, and test embedded software solutions that are reliable, efficient, and meet stringent automotive standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for automotive control units (ECUs ) and other in-vehicle systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in C/C++ for embedded environments.
  • Implement and test software components according to automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and architecture.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of embedded software on target hardware.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development , with a focus on automotive applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN , LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems (e.g., AUTOSAR, RTOS) and development tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in a remote , collaborative environment.
