Remote Automotive Systems Integrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Automotive Systems Integrator to join their advanced engineering team. This position allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa , focusing on the integration and validation of complex automotive electronic systems. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless communication and functionality between various vehicle subsystems, from powertrain to infotainment and ADAS. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of automotive architectures, communication protocols, and system-level testing, coupled with excellent remote collaboration skills to drive successful integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate diverse automotive electronic systems, including ECUs, sensors, and actuators, in a virtual environment.
• Define and execute system-level test plans, analyzing results to identify integration issues and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues arising from the interaction of multiple vehicle subsystems.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and software development teams, as well as suppliers, using remote communication tools.
• Develop and maintain system integration documentation, including architecture diagrams and test procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes and methodologies for automotive projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in automotive system integration, validation, or testing.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and FlexRay.
• Experience with simulation tools and virtual validation environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex tasks effectively in a remote setting.
