Remote Aviation Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and organized Remote Aviation Project Manager to lead key strategic initiatives from anywhere, supporting projects that may involve operations in the Stellenbosch region. This position requires a leader who can successfully manage complex aviation-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring project progress, managing resources, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders globally. Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage project execution, monitor progress, and proactively address risks and issues.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and other teams to ensure project success.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects adhere to aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably in the aviation sector.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Ability to manage remote teams and work effectively across different time zones.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
