About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Remote Aviation Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their critical IT infrastructure supporting global aviation operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of all aviation-related software systems, networks, and databases. This role requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization, ensuring seamless digital operations for our dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain aviation-specific software systems, databases, and network infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage robust security measures to protect sensitive aviation data and systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various remote locations.
  • Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and system updates.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to test and deploy new system features and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure and network management.
  • Proven experience administering cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtual environments.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and data management.
  • Excellent remote troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.
