About the Role

As a key member of the engineering team, you will contribute to all phases of the dApp development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and deployment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts.
• Implement user interfaces that interact seamlessly with blockchain protocols.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages like Solidity, JavaScript, or Python.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into functional dApps.
• Integrate with various blockchain networks and off-chain services.
• Perform code reviews and participate in architectural discussions.
• Troubleshoot and debug dApp issues, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Engage with the blockchain community and stay informed about industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 1 year focused on blockchain and dApp development.
• Proficiency in at least one smart contract programming language (e.g., Solidity).
• Experience with frontend development frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and Web3 libraries (Web3.js, Ethers.js).
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus mechanisms and token standards.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in a distributed team environment.
• Located within or able to work effectively remotely from Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
