Remote Blockchain Engineer - DeFi Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Blockchain Engineer with a specialization in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative DeFi protocols and smart contracts. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, blockchain security, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, audit, and deploy secure and efficient DeFi smart contracts for various protocols (e.g., lending, exchanges, yield farming).
• Research and implement new DeFi primitives and explore novel financial instruments on-chain.
• Optimize smart contract performance and gas efficiency for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and researchers, to define and implement new features.
• Contribute to the security architecture and conduct rigorous testing and code reviews to ensure the integrity of our protocols.
• Stay updated with the rapidly evolving DeFi landscape and emerging blockchain technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer with a strong focus on DeFi development.
• Expertise in Solidity and smart contract development for platforms like Ethereum.
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, including AMMs, lending protocols, stablecoins, and yield optimization strategies.
• Experience with security best practices, smart contract auditing, and formal verification methods.
• Proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Go for scripting and tooling.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote , collaborative setting.
