Remote Broadband Network Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable and resilient broadband network solutions, including access and core networks.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of network hardware such as routers, switches, and optical equipment.
• Monitor network health, identify performance issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and best practices for broadband deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find efficient solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for network upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensure network security and compliance with relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in broadband network design, implementation, and management.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
• Hands-on experience with network operating systems (e.g., "Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper Junos").
• Familiarity with fiber optic technologies and DSL/PON access networks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
