About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Buyer to manage procurement activities for their business operations, supporting teams and projects remotely from anywhere. This role requires a self-starter with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of sourcing strategies. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on cost optimization and supply chain efficiency for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research to identify and vet potential suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable agreements.
• Manage the entire purchasing process, from requisition to receipt of goods or services.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong, productive relationships.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, with demonstrated success in remote settings.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, adapted for virtual environments.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote capacity.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
