Remote CAD Design Engineer (Contract) - GD&T/DFM Expert

Position: Mechanical Design / CAD Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $66 - $130/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Provide detailed input on mechanical design solutions using advanced CAD tools.

• Evaluate and critique engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.

• Assess and recommend design for manufacturability and tolerance analysis practices.

• Contribute insights on engineering mechanics and geometric modeling challenges.

• Review and enhance graphics and geometric modeling representations for assemblies.

• Offer guidance on best practices in manufacturing engineering and simulate design scenarios.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in production design with GD&T and DFM principles.

• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD platforms like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.

• Strong understanding of tribology, engineering mechanics, and geometric dimensioning.

• Experience in manufacturing engineering and end-to-end product development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts.
