Remote Catering Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Catering Operations Manager to join their expanding team, based out of George but operating remotely. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless execution of all catering events across various locations, managing logistics, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency from a distance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of catering operations and exceptional communication skills, capable of coordinating effectively with on-site teams and clients without a physical presence. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of remote catering event logistics, including menu coordination, sourcing, and delivery schedules.

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with a network of suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of ingredients and services.

• Develop and implement efficient operational workflows and standard operating procedures for catering staff nationwide.

• Monitor event execution remotely, providing support and troubleshooting to on-site teams as needed.

• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced service quality.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene standards across all operational sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in catering operations management or a similar hospitality management role.

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and logistics.

• Excellent remote communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools.

• Experience with event planning software and systems is a plus.
