About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Remote Chemical Plant Optimization Engineer to drive efficiency and productivity across their facilities. Working entirely remotely, you will analyze plant operational data, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical processes and advanced analytical skills. You will collaborate virtually with site engineers and management to implement impactful optimization solutions, contributing to the company's operational excellence from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze plant operational data using statistical methods and process modeling tools.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in areas such as yield, throughput, and energy consumption.
  • Develop and recommend data-driven optimization strategies and best practices.
  • Support remote implementation of process control improvements and advanced process control (APC) strategies.
  • Collaborate virtually with site personnel to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Prepare performance reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
  • 6+ years of experience in chemical process operations and optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) and process simulation tools.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote work.
  • Ability to interpret complex operational data and translate it into actionable insights.
