About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and independent Remote Chemical Process Consultant to provide expert guidance and support to their operations, including those near Polokwane .
This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles to advise on process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance, all from a remote location.
You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our chemical processes without the need for a physical presence at any single site, contributing valuable insights and solutions to complex technical challenges across various projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert consultation on chemical process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting remotely.
• Analyze process data and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Develop recommendations for process modifications, technology upgrades, and best practices.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams and operating manuals.
• Conduct virtual process safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Advise on compliance with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations.
Requirements
• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in the chemical industry, with a strong track record in process engineering and consulting.
• Demonstrated expertise in process simulation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality consulting services remotely.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, particularly in a virtual setting.
