Remote Chemical Process Engineer - New Ventures

About the Role

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative New Ventures team. This fully remote position will be instrumental in exploring and developing novel chemical processes and technologies. You will work on early-stage projects, contributing to feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and pilot-scale evaluations from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual design for new chemical processes and technologies.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new ventures.
• Perform mass and energy balances, and preliminary equipment sizing.
• Support pilot plant design, operation, and data analysis for new process validation.
• Collaborate remotely with R&D, business development, and external partners.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and investment proposals for new projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 5+ years of experience in process design, development, or R&D in the chemical industry.
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) is essential.
• Familiarity with early-stage process development and scale-up challenges.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
