About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Engineer with a strong focus on optimization to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for driving efficiency improvements and enhancing the performance of existing chemical processes across various company sites. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques, simulation tools, and data-driven methodologies to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve product quality. This position offers the ideal candidate the flexibility to work from anywhere, contributing their expertise to major optimization projects while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will collaborate extensively with site-based engineering and operations personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization using statistical methods and simulation tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies for process upgrades and modifications.
- Support plant operations by troubleshooting process issues and recommending solutions.
- Document process improvements, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Collaborate virtually with site engineers, operators, and management to implement changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on process optimization.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Strong understanding of process control, thermodynamics, and chemical reaction engineering.
- Excellent data analysis skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and remote collaboration skills.
