About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Safety Engineer to join their fully remote global team.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Conduct and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, What-If, and LOPA studies, for new and existing processes. • Perform risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to prevent incidents. • Develop and deliver process safety training to engineers, operators, and other personnel. • Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions. • Stay current with evolving process safety regulations and technologies, providing expert advice to global operations teams.

Requirements • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. • 5+ years of dedicated experience in chemical process safety engineering. • In-depth knowledge of PSM elements (e.g., MOC, PSSR, PHA, Incident Investigation). • Proven experience in leading and facilitating HAZOP studies and other risk assessment methodologies. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, CCPS).
