Remote Chemical Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive chemical safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct rigorous Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), HAZOP studies, and risk assessments for new and existing processes.
• Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Provide safety training and guidance to engineers, operators, and management.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare detailed safety reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related safety discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical safety engineering, process safety management (PSM), or EHS.
• In-depth knowledge of hazard identification techniques and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as OSHA PSM or equivalent.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
