Remote Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing fintech startup, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial strategy and operations entirely remotely. As the senior-most financial executive, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial planning, risk management, reporting, and investor relations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy, including capital allocation, fundraising, and M&A activities.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and tax.
• Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Lead the financial aspects of strategic decision-making, providing insights to the board and executive team.
• Build and mentor a high-performing, distributed finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a tech or startup environment.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, fundraising, and managing complex financial operations.
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, venture capital, and private equity.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with experience managing remote teams.
