Remote Chief Financial Officer - Mining Tech

About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge mining technology firm with a global reach, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. This is a fully remote position, ideal for a seasoned finance executive looking to drive financial strategy and operations for an innovative company. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, including financial planning, risk management, investor relations, and compliance, with a focus on supporting the company’s rapid growth and technological advancements in the mining sector. You will be a key partner in shaping the company’s financial future from anywhere in the world, including but not limited to Kimberley.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy and provide strategic guidance to the board and executive team.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury, tax, and investor relations.
• Manage financial risk, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Lead fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Drive financial performance improvements and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement within the mining tech industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years as a CFO or equivalent.
• Proven experience in financial strategy, fundraising, M&A, and managing complex financial operations, preferably within a technology or mining-related sector.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage finances effectively in a remote-first environment.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and global economic trends.
