About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine comprehensive global sanitation strategies, policies, and operational frameworks.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging sanitation challenges and innovative solutions.
• Design evidence-based best practices for hygiene, waste management, and disease prevention in various contexts.
• Provide expert guidance and consultation to international teams and partner organizations via remote communication channels.
• Create training materials and resources to support the implementation of sanitation initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of international sanitation standards, regulations, and technological advancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including public health experts, engineers, and policy advisors, in a remote capacity.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals to communicate strategic plans and findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Public Health, Environmental Science, Sanitation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sanitation management, public health, or environmental program development, with a significant portion in strategic or advisory roles.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing large-scale sanitation strategies, preferably with international exposure.
• Expert knowledge of hygiene principles, water and sanitation systems, waste management, and infectious disease control.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in data analysis, research methodologies, and relevant software tools.
• Experience in developing training programs and facilitating virtual workshops is a plus.
