Remote Child Development Specialist & Online Tutor

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized support and tailored tutoring to children, focusing on their developmental needs and academic progress. This role involves designing personalized learning plans, conducting interactive online sessions, and offering guidance to parents on fostering their child's growth. The ideal professional will have a strong background in child psychology, early childhood education, and experience with online learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote developmental assessments for children aged 5-10.
• Develop individualized learning plans and tutoring strategies based on assessments and child needs.
• Deliver engaging and interactive online tutoring sessions focusing on academic support and skill development.
• Provide specialized guidance to children on areas such as social-emotional learning, cognitive skills, and behavioral strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents to discuss child progress, developmental milestones, and strategies for home support.
• Utilize various online tools and platforms to create a dynamic and effective learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of sessions, progress, and parent communications.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child development and online education.
• Collaborate with the client's team to continuously improve service offerings.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Child Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working directly with children, including experience in tutoring or educational support.
• Demonstrated expertise in child development principles and learning theories.
• Proficiency in using video conferencing software and online learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, online whiteboards).
• Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create personalized learning experiences and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a remote schedule effectively.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
• Must be legally eligible to work remotely in Soweto, Gauteng, ZA.
