About the Role

Our client is seeking a licensed and compassionate Remote Child Psychologist specializing in Early Intervention to join their expanding telehealth practice, serving children and families in the Randburg area and nationwide. In this critical role, you will provide virtual psychological assessments, diagnostic services, and therapeutic interventions for infants and young children experiencing developmental delays or behavioral challenges. You will collaborate closely with families, pediatricians, and other specialists to develop personalized intervention plans and support optimal child development through accessible online platforms. This position is ideal for a psychologist passionate about leveraging technology to make a significant impact on early childhood development from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations of infants and young children via telehealth. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for children with developmental delays, behavioral issues, or emotional challenges. Provide ongoing therapy and support to children and their families, utilizing virtual communication tools. Collaborate with pediatricians, educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Requirements

Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child Psychology or Developmental Psychology. Current, active license to practice psychology in South Africa. Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral experience in early intervention and child psychology. Proficiency in conducting telehealth assessments and therapy sessions. Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and communication skills.
