Remote Civil Design Engineer - Urban Planning

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs for urban infrastructure projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility plans, utilizing advanced CAD software.
• Perform complex engineering calculations for stormwater runoff, traffic flow, and utility capacity, ensuring compliance with municipal codes and environmental regulations.
• Create 3D models and visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts and technical specifications to stakeholders and the public.
• Collaborate effectively with urban planners, landscape architects, environmental consultants, and other remote team members via virtual platforms.
• Conduct thorough design reviews, identify potential challenges, and propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation for bidding and permitting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, with a significant portion dedicated to urban planning and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D , and other relevant civil design software.
• Experience with GIS platforms is a plus.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, green infrastructure, and stormwater management best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration and client interaction.
