Remote Civil Engineer - Design & Planning

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis, contributing to a variety of civil infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for the design, planning, and analysis of projects such as roads, bridges, water systems, and drainage infrastructure. This role requires a strong theoretical foundation, practical design experience, and the ability to utilize advanced engineering software effectively. Working remotely, you will collaborate with project managers and other engineers to deliver innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design calculations and analysis for various civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD and other relevant software.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including project managers and site personnel, to ensure design feasibility and implementation success.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for project development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Significant experience in the design and planning of civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, hydrology, and structural analysis.
