Remote Civil Engineer - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure projects. Based remotely from Klerksdorp , you will be responsible for the design, planning, and oversight of various civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, and water systems. This role demands a proactive approach to remote collaboration and a deep understanding of engineering principles. You will work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects across the region, contributing to the development and maintenance of essential public works in North West province. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for civil infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, and water supply networks.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies, utilizing data provided by on-site teams.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
• Oversee the implementation of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and timeline requirements through remote monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community representatives.
• Ensure all projects adhere to environmental regulations and safety standards, providing remote oversight and guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a focus on infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) and project management tools.
• Experience with remote team collaboration and project oversight is essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adapted for a remote working environment.
