Remote Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Civil Engineer to lead critical infrastructure projects from the comfort of their home office. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the conceptualization and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including but not limited to roads, water supply systems, and wastewater management.
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies, often requiring coordination with local contacts or leveraging available data.
• Develop and review project plans, technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with remote teams and external consultants.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff remotely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or eligibility for registration.
• Proficiency in industry-standard civil engineering design software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, HEC-RAS).
• Proven ability to manage projects remotely and communicate effectively across distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and risk assessment.
