About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design and Analysis to join their dynamic, distributed team supporting projects across Upington, Northern Cape and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects using advanced software.
• Develop comprehensive structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams in a virtual environment.
• Review and approve structural calculations and designs prepared by others.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptualization to completion.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Expert proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System , or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes (e.g., SANS, Eurocodes) and material behavior.
• Proven experience in designing with concrete, steel, and other construction materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication capabilities for remote teamwork.
