Remote Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Structural Civil Engineer with a passion for design excellence to join their fully remote engineering team. This role focuses on the conceptualization, design, and detailing of structural components for a variety of complex projects. You will leverage advanced modeling and analysis tools to deliver innovative and safe structural solutions, working collaboratively with a distributed team of engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure using advanced engineering software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings , specifications, and calculations for project submission and construction.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, including seismic and wind load considerations.
• Collaborate remotely with architects, other engineers, and project managers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct peer reviews of structural designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering materials, techniques, and software.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng).
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD. Pro, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design principles.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, with excellent communication skills.
