About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer with a specialization in Water and Sanitation systems to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing sustainable water infrastructure solutions that address critical needs across various communities. Operating remotely, you will collaborate with a geographically dispersed team of engineers, project managers, and environmental specialists to deliver innovative and efficient water management projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop water supply systems, wastewater treatment plants, and distribution networks.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to optimize water flow and system performance.
  • Prepare detailed design reports, technical specifications, and tender documentation for water infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international environmental and water quality standards.
  • Collaborate remotely with project managers and other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptualization to construction oversight (where applicable through remote means).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and management of water and sanitation infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in water modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM) and CAD software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of water treatment processes, pipeline hydraulics, and pump station design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
