About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Claims Adjuster to join their fully remote team, supporting operations from Cape Town . In this crucial role, you will manage insurance claims from initial reporting through to settlement, ensuring fair and efficient resolution for policyholders while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. You will be instrumental in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the integrity of our client's claims process. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who excels at independent work, possesses strong investigative skills, and is committed to providing exceptional service in the insurance industry from their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate assigned insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Gather and review claim documentation, including police reports, medical records, and witness statements.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, and third parties throughout the claims process.
- Process claim payments and manage reserve setting for assigned caseload.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim file documentation within the company's claims management system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster or in a similar insurance claims role.
- Proficiency with claims management software and standard office applications.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, legal principles, and claims investigation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are a plus.
