Remote Clinical Trial Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Clinical Trial Manager to oversee multiple clinical studies from initiation to close-out. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards. This is a critical position that demands strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of clinical research processes to drive successful trial outcomes and contribute to bringing life‑saving therapies to patients efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive clinical trial protocols, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee the selection and management of clinical investigators and sites, ensuring adherence to study requirements.
• Monitor trial progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure all trial activities are conducted in compliance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage CROs and other third‑party vendors involved in the clinical trial process.
• Prepare and present regular study progress reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 3 years in a Clinical Trial Manager role.
• Proven experience managing multi‑center, international clinical trials.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP , ICH guidelines, and regulatory submission processes.
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
