About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their distributed team. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on automating deployment, scaling, and management processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud environments, enabling the broader engineering teams to deploy applications rapidly and securely. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and optimal resource utilization.
• Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
• Collaborate with development teams to support their infrastructure needs and troubleshoot production issues in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on automation.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and configuration management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
