You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of commercial disputes, conducting thorough legal research, drafting persuasive pleadings, and representing clients in various legal forums. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Analyze complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel via digital platforms.
• Review and organize large volumes of documents for discovery purposes.
• Assist senior litigators in preparing for trials.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and time entry.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and evidence law.
• Proven experience in managing discovery processes, including e-discovery.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Must possess strong self-discipline and time management skills to thrive in a remote work environment.
• Effective virtual communication and interpersonal skills.
• A dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet access is required.
