About the Role
Our client, a leading national charity, is seeking a compassionate and resourceful Remote Community Support Specialist to provide essential assistance to individuals and families across South Africa. Operating from a remote setup, you will be the first point of contact for many, offering guidance, information, and support through various communication channels. This role demands excellent listening skills, empathy, and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they receive the help they need efficiently and with dignity, regardless of their location.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to community inquiries and requests for assistance via phone, email, and online chat platforms.
- Provide accurate information about available services, resources, and programs.
- Assess client needs and guide them toward appropriate support pathways.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of support materials and FAQs for community members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service, social work, counselling, or a related support role.
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills.
