Remote Compliance Officer - Oil & Gas

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements within the oil and gas industry. Working from home, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across various operational areas. This role demands a thorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, along with the ability to proactively identify and address potential compliance issues. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures relevant to the oil and gas sector.

• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the company's operations remain compliant with all applicable laws and standards.

• Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs.

• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal roles within the energy sector.

• In-depth knowledge of South African and international regulations governing the oil and gas industry.

• Experience in developing and implementing compliance management systems.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively remotely.
