Remote Compliance Officer - Sanitation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and knowledgeable Remote Compliance Officer specializing in sanitation to join their virtual operations team based in Stellenbosch . In this critical remote role, you will be responsible for ensuring that company-wide sanitation policies and procedures align with all relevant national and international health and safety regulations. You will conduct virtual audits, develop compliance training materials, and provide expert guidance to various departments. This position requires a deep understanding of sanitation science, regulatory frameworks, and the ability to interpret and apply complex legal requirements in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive sanitation compliance programs across all company operations.
• Conduct virtual audits and risk assessments of facilities and processes to identify potential non-compliance issues.
• Stay abreast of all applicable local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations related to sanitation.
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver remote training sessions on sanitation best practices and regulatory requirements to staff at all levels.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors as needed, representing the company's compliance efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation management , regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant sanitation laws, standards, and best practices (e.g., HACCP, ISO standards).
• Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills , with experience delivering training remotely.
