Remote Computational Biologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Remote Computational Biologist to join their advanced research initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computational algorithms and pipelines for the analysis of large-scale biological data.
• Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to design experiments and interpret results effectively.
• Visualize complex biological data to facilitate understanding and communication.
• Contribute to the development of predictive models and data-driven hypotheses.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in computational biology and bioinformatics tools.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in analyzing genomic , transcriptomic, or proteomic datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, and familiarity with relevant bioinformatics libraries.
• Experience with bioinformatics databases and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity for independent work in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
