Remote Construction Estimator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This position plays a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing the costs associated with construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to provide comprehensive cost estimates. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes and materials, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting, contributing to the financial viability and competitive bidding of projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and other costs required to construct a building or infrastructure.

• Prepare bid proposals, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and identify potential risks and opportunities.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project scope and estimate details.

• Maintain an updated database of material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing.

• Utilize estimation software and tools to streamline the bidding process and ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

• Experience with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment .
