Remote Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Planner to join their fully remote team, contributing to major construction projects nationwide, including developments in Kimberley . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and logistics strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of construction processes and project sequencing. By optimizing project timelines and resource utilization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely completion of complex construction endeavors, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive construction project schedules using project management software.
• Analyze project scope and sequence activities logically to optimize timelines and identify critical paths.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather input for planning and scheduling.
• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate schedule disruptions.
• Plan and manage logistics, including material delivery schedules and site access.
• Prepare regular progress reports and forecast completion dates for project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequences, and project lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively collaborate with a remote team.
