Remote Construction Project Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Construction Project Planner to join their innovative team, serving projects across various locations including Mossel Bay . In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for complex construction projects. You will leverage advanced planning software and collaborate virtually with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure optimal project execution and delivery from anywhere. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software.
• Analyze project scope, define critical path activities, and establish realistic timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to gather input for planning and scheduling activities.
• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate schedule delays.
• Prepare detailed reports on project progress, schedule adherence, and resource utilization for stakeholders.
• Facilitate virtual planning meetings and ensure effective communication across all project disciplines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
• Demonstrated expertise with advanced scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycles, and critical path analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and strong communication skills for a distributed team.
• Relevant degree or professional certification in project management or a related field is highly preferred.
