About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote Construction Quality Assurance Manager to join their distributed team. This role is vital for upholding the highest standards of quality across all construction projects, regardless of physical location. You will develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC protocols, conduct remote inspections, and analyze project data to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. This position offers the unique advantage of working from anywhere while playing a key role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of construction deliverables for projects, including those in the Soweto region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs for construction projects.
  • Conduct remote inspections and audits using photographic, video, and data-sharing tools to assess work quality and compliance.
  • Analyze project documentation, reports, and performance data to identify trends and potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate closely with on-site teams, project managers, and engineers to address and resolve quality concerns promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, industry standards, and client specifications across all projects.
  • Manage the documentation of all QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction QA/QC roles, with a strong understanding of various construction disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective QA/QC policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with project management software and digital tools for remote collaboration and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with remote monitoring and inspection techniques is highly desirable.
