About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Construction Site Planner to contribute to project success from anywhere. In this vital, fully remote position, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive site plans, coordinating logistics, and optimizing the use of space and resources for construction projects, primarily focusing on the Mossel Bay region and its surrounding areas. Your ability to visualize complex site layouts, manage schedules, and communicate effectively through digital channels will ensure projects commence smoothly and operate efficiently. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can anticipate challenges and provide innovative planning solutions without needing to be physically present on-site, leveraging technology to bridge distances.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed site logistics plans, including access routes, temporary facilities, and material laydown areas.
• Create and manage master project schedules, integrating various construction activities and milestones.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, engineers, and architects to define site requirements and constraints.
• Identify potential site-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Optimize resource allocation, including equipment, labor, and materials, to support project timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction planning, site management, or a related role.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant planning and scheduling tools.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, site operations, and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
