About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Contract Specialist to join their procurement team, supporting operations virtually, including those in the Benoni area. This role is essential for the meticulous management and administration of contracts with suppliers and vendors. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contract lifecycles to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and secure favorable terms for the organization. This is an ideal position for a legal or procurement professional who thrives in a remote setting and possesses strong contractual expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of procurement-related contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and master supply agreements.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including tracking key dates, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding contractual matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments of contract terms and identify potential areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of all contracts, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management, paralegal work, or procurement with a focus on contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation principles, and risk management.
  • Proficiency with contract management software and standard office productivity tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a high volume of contracts, and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
