Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on a variety of corporate and commercial issues, including contracts, M&A, and compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with precision.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda on pertinent legal matters.
• Manage and oversee ongoing litigation, working with external counsel when necessary.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders via digital communication channels.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate law.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and drafting.
• Strong understanding of South African commercial law and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload remotely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapted for virtual collaboration.
