About the Role
Our client is actively seeking an experienced and independent Remote Corporate Legal Counsel to enhance their legal capabilities. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while providing comprehensive legal services to the company. You will be responsible for a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including contract management, compliance, and strategic advice. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, mergers, acquisitions, and commercial transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements across all operations.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.
- Manage external legal counsel and oversee dispute resolution processes.

Requirements
- Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in corporate law.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling complex corporate transactions and commercial agreements.
- Strong understanding of South African corporate and commercial law.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for remote work.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage workload efficiently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools and legal research platforms.
