About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Remote Delivery Route Planner to optimize their delivery network. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for designing the most efficient and cost-effective routes for our fleet of drivers, ensuring timely deliveries across various service areas. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost savings. You will collaborate closely with dispatch teams and drivers, utilizing advanced routing software to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for multiple drivers, considering factors like distance, traffic, and delivery windows.
- Utilize specialized route planning software and mapping tools to create efficient schedules.
- Analyze route performance data and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Communicate route plans and any necessary adjustments clearly to dispatchers and drivers.
- Stay informed about traffic conditions, road closures, and other factors affecting delivery times.
- Collaborate with logistics management to implement best practices in route optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in route planning , logistics coordination, or dispatch.
- Proficiency with route optimization software (e.g., RouteXL, OptimoRoute, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of geographical areas and traffic patterns.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting .
