About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Dispatch Coordinator to manage transportation logistics from a remote location, serving clients across the Western Cape , including areas like Stellenbosch . In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating drivers, optimizing delivery schedules, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. You will leverage technology to monitor fleets, communicate with drivers, and resolve logistical challenges efficiently. This position is crucial for maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction for our client's expanding logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule delivery routes for a fleet of drivers using dispatch software.
• Monitor driver locations and progress, providing real-time updates and support.
• Assign tasks to drivers, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update transportation management systems.
• Proactively identify and address potential delays or disruptions to optimize logistics flow.
• Handle urgent requests and adapt dispatch plans as needed in response to changing circumstances.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a related transportation role.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant communication tools.
