About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and communicative Remote Dispatcher & Fleet Assistant to join their growing transportation division. You will be the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and information to facilitate smooth operations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, assigning routes and tasks to drivers based on operational needs and efficiency.
• Monitor driver locations and progress using GPS tracking systems, providing real-time updates and support.
• Act as the primary communication link between drivers, management, and customers regarding shipment status and any arising issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and dispatch records.
• Assist in managing driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to working hour regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that arise during transit, ensuring minimal disruption.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar role in the transportation industry.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly relay information to drivers and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a dynamic workload effectively.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems in a remote work environment.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and driver compliance is a plus.
