About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Dispatcher to manage logistics operations from a distance. You will be responsible for coordinating drivers, optimizing routes, and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods for clients across various regions, supporting operations that may include routes originating or terminating near Stellenbosch. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a deep understanding of dispatch software and logistics principles. As a remote-first position, you will leverage technology to manage a dynamic fleet and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams, playing a crucial role in maintaining service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage driver schedules and locations in real-time using dispatch software.
• Assign loads to drivers efficiently, considering factors such as distance, delivery windows, and driver availability.
• Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Communicate proactively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
• Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that arise during transit, coordinating necessary actions.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, deliveries, and any exceptions.
